The LSESU International Arbitration Society unites students interested in international arbitration and offers them arbitration-related activities. The society aims at promotion of international arbitration and has been created for both educational and networking purposes.
In particular, the Society provides its members with seminars and lectures by high-profile arbitration guest speakers, with the opportunity to visit major arbitration institutions and law firms, and with socializing events, which connect students with arbitration practitioners.
We welcome LSE students from all departments, who share our interest in international arbitration.
Our sole membership tier is that of a standard membership (£1.50). Purchasing a membership to our society will give you access to updates and discounted tickets to the events we organise - talks by international arbitration practitioners, networking opportunities, site visits, etc.
Your membership fee goes towards the running of the society, such as refreshments at events, and the long term development of the society.
Our flagship event is the Arbitration Academy features a series of seminars on international arbitration throughout the year hosted by industry experts. We also organise ad hoc speaker panels and student-led industry awareness presentations, and are looking to organise visits to major arbitration institutions and law firms to develop our members' understanding of the work and life of an international arbitration practitioner.
