LSESU Welcome Week Freshers Fair 2023

Chinese Arts

LSESU Chinese Arts Society aims to create a community for lovers of Chinese Arts to explore its many forms.

Our Core Committee:

Co-President: Zixi Wang
Co-President: Joyce Liu
Vice-President: Huanxi Wang
Secretary: Yiyang Cai
Social Media Officer: Olivia Lin
Treasurer: Meixiao Long

Our society is the first community at LSE dedicated to students passionate about practicing and showcasing both traditional and modern Chinese arts.

We warmly welcome all students interested in Chinese arts —whether you’re experienced in Chinese traditional art, curious about Chinese pop culture, or just starting to learn Mandarin.

Our activities include:
• Weekly tutorials on traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy
• Chinese New Year celebration events
• The Annual Campus Singer Competition
• We will ensure that at least half of our sessions are conducted in English to promote culture diversity and inclusivity. The primary language for each event will be indicated on the event posters, allowing everyone to prepare accordingly. However, all participants are welcome to join, regardless of their language proficiency.

Whether you’re an enthusiast or a beginner, come join us to explore and celebrate Chinese arts, language, and culture!
