The Coding Society aims to build the programming literacy of the LSE community from the basics to provide students with the necessary and relevant coding skills they will likely need in their future.
This society is currently dormant. If you would like to restart the society, please see the process on this page.

The LSESU Coding Society's main goal is to make coding an enjoyable and enriching activity for all our members. In an increasingly data-driven world, skills in coding are becoming more valued by employers of all sectors such as finance, technology, healthcare and more!
Our society organises weekly coding classes in R, Python and Matlab in which we teach basic programming skills from scratch. No prior technical knowledge is required! Furthermore, we also organise mini hackathons so that our members can develop problem-solving skills through coding. We organise speaker events and workshops hosted by industry specialists in which members can learn how coding is used in an industrial setting. We aspire to be a collaborative society where all our members can develop themselves by sharing insights and working together.
We invite students from all degree backgrounds to join our society. If you're interested in exploring more about coding, please do join! We look forward to having you!
Purchasing a membership to our society gives you access to all our coding classes organised through Michaelmas and Lent Term. Furthermore, you'll be able to attend speaker events where you can meet and network with industry specialists. Through our weekly newsletter, we will also provide you with insights and latest news from the Technology industry that could be beneficial for future job applications.
