Division Introduction:

Our Vision:
1. Promoting Chinese Culture: We aim to bring the richness of Chinese culture to the world. Through a variety of cultural events, such as traditional festivals, art exhibitions, and educational workshops, we seek to enhance cultural understanding and appreciation within the diverse LSE community.

  1. Supporting Chinese Students and Scholars: LSE CSSA is committed to providing comprehensive support to Chinese students and scholars. We offer guidance and resources on academic, social, mental health, and professional matters, ensuring that our members have the assistance they need to thrive at LSE.

  2. Building Connections: We strive to create a strong network that connects Chinese students and scholars with each other and with the broader LSE community. By fostering these connections, we aim to build a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can share their experiences and grow together.

Activity Review
LSESU CSSA hosts a vibrant array of activities throughout the academic year, fostering a lively and supportive community among its members. The year kicks off with a Boat Party in September, celebrating the new academic year with a memorable evening on the Thames. October’s Member's Party offers a great opportunity for new and returning members to connect face-to-face in a relaxed setting.

As the year progresses, the society organizes a Career Panel Talk from November to December, where seniors share valuable insights from their experiences in Spring Weeks and Summer Analyst programs, aiding fellow students in their career journeys. The festive spirit continues into December with a Christmas Party, marking the end of the year with joy and camaraderie.

The celebration of Chinese culture is at its peak during January and February with the Spring Festival Gala, featuring an array of talent shows to ring in the Chinese New Year, followed by a week-long Chinese New Year’s Culture Week, which includes activities such as calligraphy and paper-cutting. In March, the Dog Café Afternoon is designed to offer a soothing break for members, focusing on mental well-being.

Throughout the year, the society also runs a weekly Podcast covering various topics related to Chinese culture and student life in London. Annually, a Course Review provides incoming students with invaluable feedback on different courses from seasoned upperclassmen. Additionally, the Buddy Group initiative offers ongoing academic mentorship and opportunities for social engagement through table games, further enriching the student experience at LSE."

This review captures the diversity and cultural richness of the events organised by your society, highlighting how they contribute to both personal and professional development.
