ABOUT US The Visual Arts Society is active, creative and fun. We are all about expression and aesthetic. The society is open to all creative inidividuals, no matter your artistic skills! Here's a snapshot of what we do:
Workshops - from Digital Art and Photoshop tutorial sessions to crafts like Origami folding, as well as different styles of painting. These are short events from a range of topics which are perfect to fit into and bring a burst of colour to our hectic schedules. Great for meeting new people, while exploring a new genre of art or picking up a new skill! Drawing Lessons - our Life-drawing sessions have been going on for the 7th year running. We bring in professional models and external tutors for these dedicated classes, and they are suitable for artists of all levels. Experience working with traditional media like charcoal and graphite. Gallery Trips and Pub Nights - to the Tate Britain, Tate Modern, the Royal Academy of Arts, the National Gallery, Somerset House, Victoria & Albert Museum and the Saatchi Gallery. The Society is also often able to negotiate ticket discounts for our members on these trips! We aim to gather at a near-by pub before each visit, to get to know each other, chat and grab a pint!
MEMBERSHIP A. Give it a Go Membership - A free one-off trial that allows you to visit one of our events B. Standard Membership - Costs £1,50 and allows access to most of our events as well as updates from our weekly newsletter
