About us

The LSE Water Polo Club welcomes everyone, from all backgrounds and abilities - from fresh beginners to seasoned players. We've had plenty of success in our short history, with both our Men's and Women's Teams enjoying an excellent 2018-19 season.

The Men's Team were 2018 BUCS South Eastern 1A Champions, whilst the Women won 5 out of 6 matches! Alongside our BUCS teams, we also have regular friendly matches for our Mixed team, helping beginner players get plenty of game time.

Male or female, beginner or experienced, undergrad, postgrad or General Course, come along and try out this fun, energetic team sport! We're a friendly, sociable group, and, only 10 minutes from campus, we are one of the few AU societies with Central London pool time.

Apart from being a great sport and stress reliever, this is your chance to play a sport your dad was too afraid to play when he was in school.

Membership

Memberships give access to weekly training sessions, competitions, club kit, socials and the opportunity to go on tour (which has consistently been awarded 5 stars from all participating members). Members will not only represent LSE, but also form lasting bonds in a fun, challenging sport.

Events and Activities

Over the course of the year we host a wide number of events including:

  • Training every Friday, 6:00-7.30pm
  • BUCS and LUSL matches
  • Friendly matches
  • Extensive club socials, pub crawls
  • Overseas trip
