The LSE Squash Club provides a friendly atmosphere that is welcoming of people of all backgrounds and abilities, with a very close community feel and fun weekly socials.
The LSE Squash Club prides itself for its friendly atmosphere that welcomes players of all backgrounds and abilities.
Squash is (in our opinion) the best sport to play at uni. Squash is easy to pick up and is a fun and effective way to keep fit. Squash is an easy sport to play casually as we play right in the middle of campus (no trekking to Berrylands) and games can be played in a very short period of time. In previous years, the Club has helped to transform complete novices into experienced competitors. For those looking to play at a more advanced level, we have men’s and women’s teams that compete regularly against other London universities (the LUSL league) and against universities in the country (the BUCS league). Players are also given the opportunity to take part in experience-adapted training sessions with the Club Coach Gary Nisbet.
The Club has a close-knit community feel and we host regular socials throughout the year. Last year’s highlights included Carol and a number of Club dinners. The Club has a rich history of tours, recently visiting Budapest in 2023/24 and Amsterdam in 2022/23.
Whether you are looking for a new sport to help you keep fit, or have been playing squash for a number of years now, the LSE Squash Club can help to complete your university experience.
The Club has three types of membership: Competitive, Social and Associate.
Competitive Membership (£100):
Social Events Membership (£25):
Associate Membership (£175):
