Sit on the highest level committee within LSE’s academic governance, the Academic Board, and represent the interests of LSE students!

Academic Board is the highest level committee within LSE’s academic governance. It is responsible for monitoring and upholding the academic standards of the School and for regulating teaching. All academics are members as are the General Secretary and Education Officer. Additionaly, two students are elected by their peers to become student members of Academic Board. You can find out more about Academic Board here.

Key responsibilities

  • Attend LSESU committee training

  • Attend and contribute to Academic Board meetings on the following dates:?

    • Wednesday, 7 February 2024 at 14:00 via Zoom

    • Wednesday, 8 May 2024 at 14:00 via Zoom

    • Wednesday, 5 June 2024 at 14:00 via Zoom

  • Read the papers in advance of the meetings

  • Engage with the support provided by LSESU e.g. written briefings, prep meetings 

  • Communicate any developments from Academic Board meetings to LSESU
