LSESU has two committee groups alongside our Officers: The Democracy Committee, and the Executive Committee. They are in place to make sure that the SU remains a fair and democratic environment for all students.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee is made up of the elected Full-Time and Part-Time Officers of the Students' Union.

They meet several times each term to discuss the political direction of the Union, ongoing campaigns, and to report on their work.

You can find the details of the Full-Time and Part-Time Officers on our 'Student Representatives' page.

MEETING MINUTES

DEMOCRACY COMMITTEE

What does the committee do?

Your Democracy Committee has been elected to make sure that democratic processes at LSESU run smoothly and are open to everyone.

The committee works with students to develop their Policy Proposals, chairs Town Halls and Student Panels, confirms the democratic calendar and act as the main point of contact for students who want to get involved in LSESU's democracy.

The Returning Officer also sits on the Democracy Committee and deals with any issues or complaints during LSESU’s elections. You can read the Committee's Report to see what they achieved last term.

Democracy Review

Alongside the SU, the committee conducted in-depth evaluation and reform of the SU's democratic structure, to make sure it was as efficient and effective as possible.
